Initially learned the trade ‘hands on’ by renting out my own small touring rig. More recently completed a series of shifts at London’s prestigious Scala mixing FOH and monitors. In addition to getting to grips with the amazing new Turbosound sound system recently installed at Scala and the impressive Soundcraft MH3 desk (Allen & Heath 3300 monitors) I was able to get significant ‘hands-on’ experience with the Yamaha LS9 and Digico D1 including off-line editing.

In addition to my recent stint at Scala (which will continue as required) I am the official sound engineer for the Piccadilly Dance Orchestra. The PDO have been one of the top specialist 30’s/40’s jazz dance orchestras for the last 20 years. My association with the orchestra has now lasted 4 years and my responsibilities extend to stage management.
